In IPL 2022: Royal Challengers Bengalore vs. Gujarat Titans – 43rd and 67th Match

RCB vs GT- Season 2022: The first face-off between the two teams was in 30th April 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. In this league stage match, Royal Challengers Bengalore won the toss and decided to bat first and reached a total of 170 runs with the loss of 6 wickets. Virat Kohli(58), Rajat Patidar(52), and Glenn Maxwell(33) were the top batters for RCB. The target of 170 was challenging, yet Gujarat Titans(GT) was able to chase the target with 3 balls remaining. Although the top order was not able to contribute much, the responsibility for that was taken by David Miller(39 runs off 24 balls) and Rahul Tewatia(43 runs off 25 balls), which led to a successful run chase. 

The two teams played each other again in 19 May 2022 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After winning the toss, Gujarat decided to bat first, and the set the target of 168 runs was mostly built up by Wriddhiman Saha (31), Hardik Pandya (62), and David Miller (34). Josh Hazlewood took 2 wickets. 

Brilliant knock from Virat Kohli(73 runs in 54 balls), Faf du Plessis (44), and Glenn Maxwell(40) helped RCB to earn an easy win. From GT, only Rashin Khan was able to take 2 wickets.

IPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bengalore vs. Gujarat Titans- 70th Match in Bengaluru

RCB vs GT- Season 2023: On 21st May 2023, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Bangalore, RCB hosted GT for the season’s 70th game. GT won the toss and decided to bowl first. Virat Kohli’s knock of 101 runs in 61 balls led the team to a total of 197 runs. In the second innings, from GT, Shubhman Gill(104*) and Vijay Shankar (53) led to their win. 

IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bengalore vs. Gujarat Titans

RCB vs GT- Season 2024: The first face-off between the teams in the 2024 season was in April at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first. Gujarat Titans set up the target of 200 runs with brilliant knocks from Sai Sudarshan(84*) and Shahrukh Khan(58)

RCB easily chased the target in 4 overs. Will Jacks(100*) and Virat Kohli(70*) guided their team to victory.

RCB and GT played their second match of the season on 4 May 2024 at M Chinnaswamy, Bangalore. GT batting first set up the target of 147 runs in 19.3 overs. Mohammad Siraj, Yash Dayal, and Vijaykumar Vyshak’s collective 8 wickets succumbed GT’s batting lineup. Josh Little’s contribution of 4 wickets for Gujarat went in vain, as Virat Kohli(42) and Faf du Plessis(64) led RCB to an easy win with 5.2 overs in hand.

IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengalore vs. Gujarat Titans 14th Match

RCB vs GT- Season 2025: In IPL season 2025, Gujarat and Bangalore encountered each other in April 2025 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangaluru. RCB batting first set up the target of 169 runs with the loss of 8 wickets. Mohammad Siraj from GT took 3 wickets, including Phil Salt, Devdutt Padikkal, and Liam Livingstone.

GT chased the target in 17.5 overs, losing only 2 wickets in the process. Major run-getters in the match for GT were Sai Sudarshan(49 runs of 36 balls), Jos Butler(73 runs of 39 balls), and Sherfane Rutherford(30 runs of 18 balls).
